Dzanga Shanga

Trip with guaranteed realisation: 18.11.2024 - 26.11.2024
9 days/8 nights depuis Yaoundé
Located in the rainforest of the south of the Central African Republic, the Dzanga-Sangha reserve is part of a vast tri-national protected area on the Sangha river, between the Central African Republic, Cameroon and Congo-Brazzaville. Wildlife watching is the reserve's main attraction. The region is home to large mammals such as gorillas, elephants, buffalo and antelope. You can also enjoy activities with the Ba'aka Pygmies who live here. The Dzanga-Sangha reserve enjoys a humid tropical climate.
Scientists from all over the world come here to study the behaviour of forest elephants and gorillas in an intact habitat, to study the population dynamics of different species or to learn more about the ecology of the tropical forest. The results of this impressive number of studies are incorporated into park management decisions.
