Beekeeper Trip

14 days / 13 nights ab Yaoundé
In this West African country, beekeeping, collecting honey from wild bee colonies and selling honey are an important source of income for many people. Almost everyone who owns a piece of land has beehives. Collecting wild honey is popular with shepherds when they are travelling through the area with their livestock. Especially from the northern region of Adamaoua, the honey, which sometimes has an impressively dark colour, is transported and sold throughout the country and to neighbouring countries.
