Campo Ma'an PN

9 days / 8 nights from Yaoundé
This park covers an area of 264,064 hectares on the border between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. It is the only park in the national network to be distinguished by direct contact with the marine area on the Atlantic coast. It is home to 80 species of mammal, including forest elephants, leopards and gorillas, as well as 302 species of bird, 122 reptiles and 250 fish. Travellers can also visit German relics on the island of Dipikar and the Tree Museum, an artistic intervention in a century-old tree in the heart of the forest, created by the International Model Forest Network, directly supported by the African Model Forest Network (AMFN) in Campo Ma'an National Park.
Recommandations
Campo
Ma'an National Park is an equatorial protected area, and the
thickness of the forest makes it more difficult to observe and
encounter animals than in other contexts. Visitors will need to be
patient to discover the hidden wonders of this forest and be prepared
for long walks in the forest (it is advisable to bring torches,
mackintoshes, appropriate footwear and clothing for walking). For the
best chance of animal sightings, the rainy season is recommended.
